Summer is here and it's
exam time for many of you! Do pray particularly for those CMF students sitting final exams and preparing for that first day on the wards as a doctor in August.
We need to keep our
database up to date, so if you're
graduating and haven't given us your new job and contact details,
click here. Equally if you've moved or are about to, send your new contact details to
Sandra Hartley.
Did you know that students can
join CMF online? Do pass this on to any Christian medical students who may not be members yet.
CMF has been elected as a co-opted member to the
BMA Medical Students Committee for the 08-09 year. Please pray for the right
person to be our rep there, and for wisdom during the year ahead. Pray also for CMF members standing as MSC reps in their own medical schools.
CMF's
Healthserve Day will be on 5 July at Oak Hill College, North London. A great opportunity to explore all issues relating to
electives and longer term medical work in the developing world.
Please come and join us for a great weekend of fun and fundraising on Saturday 9 August. A group of CMF students will be doing the
Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for our national students' conference. You should all have had more details about this in a previous email, but contact
Matt Stammers if you're interested.
It's all change on our
National Students' Committee, with a number of new regional reps. You can find yours
here. Avril will also be stepping down as chair this summer and we are searching for her successor! Please pray for God's
guidance in this process.
The
ICMDA Eurasia Conference will be in Austria on 7-14 September. A brilliant week with hundreds of Christian medics and dentists from all over Eurasia, and an excellent student/juniors' preconference programme. CMF are offering some
student bursaries so contact
Mark if you're interested, but registration closes on 30 June!
Finally, the government are looking for the views of under-25s on
sex and relationships education. Do consider taking ten minutes to complete this
survey by 10 June (that's this Tuesday!).
We wish you all God's blessing and
guidance for the summer, whether it's exams, holidays, or starting life as a new doctor!
Grace and peace
