Premature Babies

Neonatal medicine has its own set of ethical issues. These are particularly seen in relation to the care of premature babies. How far should neonatal medicine go to keep such fragile babies alive? This becomes a particularly thorny question if the baby suffers a disability of some kind.

Getting Involved: The Nuffield consultation

The Nuffield Council on Bioethics' carried out a consultation earlier this year (it closed on 23 June). CMF responded to the consultations - our submission is on this site (link opposite). Read the consultation document on their website. Their response is expected late 2006.
