Who is the course for?

  • Those currently involved in cross-cultural service seeking refreshment.
  • Those re-entering their home countries at the end of an assignment.

What is the programme?

The programme provides an opportunity to be spiritually and emotionally refreshed, and to sharpen your skills for cross-cultural service abroad or at home. It is a flexible programme designed so that you can do as much or as little as you choose.

What does it cost?

Adults: £259 per person (includes fee, board and lodging)
Former students: £235 per person
Children: £77 (aged 2-5) not including crèche.

This year's programme will include:

Spiritual life: times of worship, reflection and bible teaching
Pastoral care: the opportunity to talk and pray through pastoral concerns
Topical issues: addressing current issues arising from specific contexts
Re-entry issues: understanding transition and gaining skills to handle re-entry in to home cultures

Examples of topics include:

  • preparing to return to the field
  • reconciliation
  • dealing with evil spirits
  • adapting to being "home"
  • handling transition
