student staffworkers

CMF student regional staff workers seek to encourage medical students in their Christian life and maturity, and to train them to be good witnesses to their fellow students and, in the future, patients. This is done by supporting the local medical school leaders and through speaking at a range of CU activities.

Alex Bunn: student staffworker

alexAlex has been working with CMF students since August 1998, first as a Regional Student Staffworker, and since 2005 as Southern team leader (and as acting Head of Student Ministries in 2009). He has played a key part in our important ministry to medical students around the country, but especially in the South of England.

Alex writes: 'I value CMF's student work because I was a beneficiary myself! I went to a good church and CU, but they didn't prepare me for the unique challenges and temptations of medical life. Christian discipleship requires personal relationship, so I am very keen to keep getting out to the regions to meet students, train them up and take them on missions abroad. Thanks for your support and prayers!'

His roles include oversight of student work in London and the Midlands.

Laurence writes: ' I got a lot out of CMF as a student - not just literature and conferences, but great encouragement from time invested in me by CMF staff and doctors. Its a great privilege to be able to give back to the students of today something of what I received, and to help equip them for the challenge of following Jesus in everyday medical work.'
