If you conducted an opinion poll on the entire population of the world, asking who is the greatest person who has ever lived, an overwhelming majority would surely choose Jesus Christ. He would be a long way ahead of his nearest rival. No other world figure commands such universal allegiance and respect.
The fact that we count the date from the time Jesus lived tells us a lot about the impact he made. The phenomenal growth of the church in the Developing World today is evidence that he continues to fascinate mankind and does so across every national and cultural divide.
