Under existing divorce law, one of five 'facts' must be proven to show a marriage has broken down irretrievably. The Government plans to remove these and replace it with divorce on demand in England and Wales. Our submission sets out our concerns that the proposals will undermine marriage and lead to an increased divorce rate, which in turn will have negative consequences for children.
