This Pre-conference is for any member for the 15 Allied Health Professions (Art Therapists Dieticians, Drama Therapists, Music Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Operating Department Practitioners, Orthoptists, Osteopaths, Paramedics, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Prosthetists and Orthotists, Radiographers, and Speech and Language Therapists), including support workers and students. We are especially keen to invite people who are early in their careers, and those who are working internationally, but we warmly welcome everyone!Â
Join us to share your journey and experiences and be united, equipped and encouraged to live for Jesus in your workplace.Â
Programme overview:Â
We will gather on Thursday evening from 15:30 onwards for a time of worship and getting to know each other.Â
The preconference day on Friday starts at 915 with teaching and active workshops and a delicious lunch, finishing at 17:00.Â
The theme is Away from home: Journeying Together. As Christians we are all ‘resident aliens’ – not of this land, but heavenward bound. How can we live in the light of this, and in particular learn from colleagues who have relocated to work in our NHS?Â
With our speaker: Speaker: Dr John BourneÂ
John was a Consultant Physician and Rheumatologist at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital. With a highly-valued team of Allied Health Professionals, he set up the Rheumatology service for North Derbyshire. Since retirement he has lived in Nottingham where, with his wife Marion, he helps with international student ministry and teaching English to those who have come to make their home in the UK.Â
We have ten places reserved for Thursday night, but there is plenty of room for everyone, but book early.Â
Cost:Â
Day conference (including lunch) – £40 (£35 for students)
You are warmly welcome to stay on for the main CMF conference , but you will need to book that separately.Â
