enewsletter February 2010

Published: 26th February 2010

The final version of the DPP guidelines on prosecution criteria for assisted suicide came out on 25 February. Much improved though concerns remain about motivation trumping intention, and about determining whether an action was 'wholly compassionate' when the key witness is dead. See Care Not Killing statement and a powerful article from Professor John Keown

Thank you for praying for Giles Cattermole's start as Head of Student Ministries. He hit the ground running and was soon into the international students' preconference, and then an excellent Swanwick conference with well over 300 students. Having just returned from Hong Kong, they urgently need short-term let accommodation: family of six, commutable to central London. Please email Giles

Thank you for taking the 2009 autumn appeal beyond £100,000. We close it by 1 March but would still welcome any final donations!

The ICMDA World Congress bursary appeal is doing less well – donations welcomed
