Andrew Fergusson’s new book Hard Questions about Health and Healing was at proof stage as CMF News went to press. The editing of Mad, Bad and Sad is also progressing well and is expected to be completed by December 2004, though the fi nal chapter is awaited. Chapters include: Sociological aspects of evil; What is mental disorder? Childhood infl uences on antisocial behaviour; Antisocial personality disorder and psychiatric disorder; The mentally ill offender; Substance misuse and antisocial behaviour; Christian approaches to treatment; Demons and evil.

The Russian translation of Bernard Palmer’s popular book Cure for Life has now been printed by Bible for All in St Petersburg (5,000 copies). The total cost (translation and printing) met by CMF was £3,250. Distribution is being arranged through contacts in ICMDA, IFES, Scripture Union, Campus Crusade and Operation Mobilisation.

The CMF website received 216,479 visits in 2003, and we plan to produce a new CD-ROM of the site soon. In many parts of the world internet connections are not good, but access to computers is excellent, so over 1,000 copies of the 2003 CD-ROM will be given away to doctors in developing countries through ICMDA conferences this year. A completely redesigned website will be launched in the autumn. Meanwhile over 2,000 copies of the Developing Health CD-ROM have been produced at a total cost of £1,328 and the plan is similarly to give most away in the developing world.
