  1. 'I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked', the Lord declares to Ezekiel, 'but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?' (Ezk 33:11)
  2. 'Can a mother forget the baby at her breast...? See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands' (Is 49:15-16). The Lord cannot forget his people or his promises to them.
  3. Jude urges us to be concerned for the disobedient, snatching them from the fire, but cautions us not to compromise ourselves in reaching the lost, being wary even of 'clothing stained by corrupted flesh.'(Jude 23)
