developing health course - About DHC

DHC - Cancelled

The Developing Health Course is taking a break for 2024.

In its place, CMF are hosting a day conference "Journeying with you into Global Health and Mission".

This day conference is for anyone who is thinking seriously about mission, particularly about serving overseas. The morning sessions (10:30-13:00) will focus on exploring the current global health needs and the context of serving in global health today. We'll examine the history of medical missions, discuss the opportunities and challenges present in serving today, and delve into the healthcare needs worldwide. This includes real-world examples of healthcare in practice, providing insights into the practical application of global health initiatives. Additionally, there will be an opportunity for participants to pose questions to the panel, fostering engagement and dialogue on these important topics.

The afternoon (14.00-17.30) is composed of various mission agencies exhibiting where you are welcome to come and chat to them about opportunities to serve. There follows an optional electives session and 3 short talks:

1. Changing face of mission - Sue Barclay

2. How your church can get involved in mission - Mike Frith

3. Jump in with both feet when you go - Peter Saunders

Our 2024 day conference will run on 13th July at London School of Theology (LST), Green Lane, Northwood HA6 2UW.
