COVID-19 Vaccines

  • CMF CEO Dr Mark Pickering speaks on a panel discussing faith responses to COVID-19 vaccines in the UK and around the world for the BBC Radio 4 programme Beyond Belief on 19 April 2021.

  • Mark also appeared on the Big Vaccine Conversation: London's Christian Communities discussion on 12 April to discuss why some Christians have concerns about vaccinations in general and the Covid vaccines in particular.

  • In this edition of the 1st incision podcast from 8 April 2021, Annika Wilder-Smith, Dr Laurence Crutchlow, and Steven Fouch discuss vaccine hesitancy, and look at why some Christians are either hesitant or actively opposed to vaccines in general, and Covid vaccines in particular.

  • CMF President, Prof. John Wyatt, and CMF Associate Head of Public Policy, Jennie Pollock, contributed to an Evangelical Alliance webinar on 10 December 2020 looking at the detailed ethical and practical issues around COVID vaccine. You can watch a recording of the entire event here

  • CMF President, Prof. John Wyatt, and Dave Brennan of Brephos debate the ethics of taking vaccines that have used immortal cell lines derived from aborted fetal tissues in their research and development.

  • The FAQs: Are Fetal Cells Being Used in COVID-19 Vaccines and Treatments? an article from the Gospel Coalition

  • COVID-19 Vaccines - ethical questions - on the CMF Blogs we look at the facts behind the Astra Zenica Vaccine and the role of cells lines from aborted fetuses - plus this brief, audio statement of some of the issues.

  • COVID-19 Vaccines - in this news item on Premier Radio we respond to the licensing of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine by the UK Government on 2 December 2020

  • COVID-19 Vaccines - we look at the other developments and ethical debates

  • In thisICMDA Webinar, Prof Annelies Wilder-Smith speaks on deploying COVID vaccines equitably

NB
While the majority of Christians, Christian health professionals, and ethicists are accepting of all vaccines, we recognise that there are some Christians who have a variety of ethical, spiritual, and practical concerns about taking vaccines in general and Covid vaccines in particular.
