Associate Head of Public Policy

Do you have a passion to be a voice for the voiceless and to see Christian truth expressed persuasively in the public square?

This is a rare opportunity to join the renowned Christian Medical Fellowship (CMF) Public Policy team with specific responsibility to work with the media and decision makers.

We are looking for someone who is medically qualified and who has substantial experience of bioethics and some understanding/experience of media/parliament/policy and culture.

You will work with the Head of Public Policy to develop CMF's explicitly Christian and medically-based public policy positions.

You will represent CMF, as a Christian doctor, in the broadcast media and to policy makers.

This is a part-time role for two days a week.

Interviews are planned for the afternoon of 24 January 2019.

Associate IT Manager

Could you use your IT skills and experience to support Christian Medical Fellowship's mission to unite and equip Christian doctors and nurses to live and speak for Jesus Christ in medicine?

This new role involves:

  • Providing an IT helpdesk service covering hardware including printers and the network, Office 365, the membership database, other software and the telephone system.
  • Giving systematic training in the effective use of any of the hardware or software in use.
  • If possible, providing training and support to those working on the website.
  • If possible, undertaking website development projects.

Essential skills and experience for the role:

  • A track record of achievement on an IT help desk.
  • Demonstrable experience of successful user training.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, JavaScript and PHP.

Desirable skills

  • End user support of a CRM system (ideally iMIS) in a membership/fundraising setting.
  • Server support - ideally Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016.
  • Microsoft SQL Server support.
  • Telephone system support - Avaya IP Office preferred.

This is a part-time role for three days a week.

Interviews will take place in the week beginning 21 January 2019.

Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive

This is a crucially important role aimed at supporting the Chief Executive in all aspects of his work in managing the senior team, communications and public policy, relating to members and relations with partner organisations.

The successful applicant will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. In addition, she or he should demonstrate recent experience in supporting at senior level with a demonstrable ability to do fast, accurate typing, audio-typing and a good working knowledge of Word, Outlook (including diary management), Excel and PowerPoint. Driving licence desirable.

We expect to hold interviews in the week beginning 21 January 2019.
