World Health Organisation, Western Pacific Regional Office, 2014 – John Park, medical elective

This was a fantastic opportunity to learn about International Public Health and meet International Medical Students.

I attended high level meetings and learnt about making policies to support resource poor countries.

This elective did not involve any clinical experience.

Before the elective, it would have bene helpful to know about the rain, thunderstorms and floods.

My elective was organised through the WHO website and cost in the region of £1,500.
