We recognise the deep complexities and long history of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. We condemn both the actions of Hamas on 7 October 2023 and the disproportionate harm to civilians that Israel's ensuing military response has caused.

CMF urges all who have influence to work together urgently to:

• Halt the tragic injuries and loss of life amongst civilians, especially children.
• Protect healthcare and aid workers and health facilities.
• Ensure full access to healthcare and humanitarian aid.
• Seek the safe return of all taken hostage on 7 October.
• Seek just short-term and long-term political solutions to the ongoing conflict, including practical support for the redevelopment of Gaza.

Whilst political solutions seem almost impossible in human terms, CMF believes we have a sovereign God who can direct the affairs of nations and individuals. We earnestly pray for his intervention to achieve just solutions to this long-standing, bitter conflict.
