The role of Editorial Assistant is integral to the success and effectiveness of our print and digital media. We are looking for an excellent administrator with a strong ability to copy edit and proof read our range of high-quality publications and books.

This is an opportunity to work at the centre of a busy Communications department handling both print (two publications together with book and pamphlet publishing) and digital (a large website, blogs and other social media) work.

The role involves working with the Head of Communications to prepare the annual workplan and budget; and tracking the work of the department against agreed timetables and budgets. In addition, the Editorial Assistant is responsible for copy-editing all digital and print copy checking for errors and adherence to branding and house style.

Employment is full-time including occasional evenings for which time off in lieu will be given.

We are looking for someone educated to bachelor degree level or with equivalent experience or qualification. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to copy edit and proof read referenced articles. We are also seeking recent experience of print production with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a grasp of current developments in new technologies.

Resources Coordinator

Christian Medical Fellowship (CMF) is seeking a full-time (5 days a week) Resources Coordinator to join the Central Services group. This is an opportunity to be part of a busy team whose other members are involved in accounting, database management and information technology.

One part of this role supports the ministry of CMF through organising the effective delivery of CMF printed resources to members and other Christian individuals and organisations. The other part of the role provides administrative support to the senior accountant.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing regular mailings.
  • Organising bookstalls at conferences and training days.
  • Purchasing books for resale.
  • Allocating income received on the database.
  • Reconciling credit card receipts.

This is a permanent position for five days a week at CMF's office in London.

Finance and Administration Assistant

Christian Medical Fellowship (CMF) is looking for a full-time (35 hours per week) or almost full-time Temporary Finance and Administration Assistant for a period of three to four months starting as soon as possible.

The work involves assisting in the administration of a database including the allocation of income received.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of GCSE in Maths, good organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail, a willingness to learn and be a Christian in full agreement with CMF's aims, doctrinal basis and ethos.
