Catalyst Teams Pre-Conference

If you are a member of a catalyst team, a current regional team leader, medical school link or considering getting involved with catalyst teams then this day pre-conference is for you.

The Christian Medical Fellowship exists to unite and equip Christian doctors, nurses and midwives to live and speak for Jesus Christ. Catalyst Teams play a vital role in this and, as one person expressed it, are “the hands, feet and face of CMF locally”.

We’d love you to join us for this day to connect with others from the Catalyst Team network and be equipped in your role.

Please note – those staying for CMFs National Conference should book for this separately.

Cost: £35 (£25 for students) including lunch. A small number of rooms (bed and breakfast) are available for those who need to arrive on the Thursday for an additional £35.

Workshop Options (choose 2)

1) Encourager Communities – DISCOVER more of God’s heart of encouragement for the people around us, CONSIDER why encouragement is so important today’s world and DEVELOP skills to become better at both giving and receiving encouragement.

Facilitator: Jane Colling, who is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner working in a Rapid Response/Virtual Ward team in North Lancashire. Jane is a CMF Peer Support Coordinator.

2) Engaging with students – what are the needs and opportunities? How can catalyst teams and Medical School Links invest in Christian healthcare students? –

Facilitator: Rachel Owusu-Ankomah, Head of Student Ministries at CMF and a renal transplant registrar in London.

3) Doing events well – From BBQs to Day Conferences: how can we do events well? To include – deciding which events to do, event planning, risk assessment, making your event known and working well with CMFs events team.
