Published: 23rd April 2019CMF has submitted a response to an inquiry into commercial genomic testing. Given the limited benefits and the serious dangers of obtaining genetic information in this setting, there are reasons to be apprehensive. Issues include potential exploitation of users, the blurring of boundaries between medical and commercial uses, and the necessity of trained genetic counsellors. The full submission can be read here.
