Birmingham Student CMF is a group of Christians who study medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy, nursing, pharmacy and biomedical sciences. We meet to encourage and equip each other in our faith to live and speak for Jesus. Our regular meetings and events allow us to get to know each other, and to help us think about how Biblical values affect us currently as students and in the future as healthcare professionals.
The pre-clinical group meets on Wednesday lunchtimes at 1-2pm in the basement common room in the medical school. The clinical group meets monthly on Saturday mornings to share brunch and discuss living out faith in a health setting. The nursing group meets monthly to cover a topic from the CMF nurses handbook. We have a number of whole CMF events to help build an inter-year community:
· September- Summer BBQ
· September- Fresher's meet & greet at the Bristol Pear
· October/November- Away Day at Lickey Hills
· December- Christmas Meal
· February- National conference
· All year round- socials
